September 2025 competitive digest
September rewarded sustained dominance across MOBA and CS, while different winners on the largest stages and a late transfer surge kept the competitive order open to debate.
The month across ESMO
September’s defining tension was breadth against the biggest individual victories. MOBA and CS each produced two different winners across their headline showcases, so neither game offered a single uncontested champion. At the same time, PHI | Scar Reign assembled the clearest month-wide case: its supported club totals led the manifest with $4,345,800 in nominal winnings, 168 championships and 979 wins. The completed game articles reinforce that breadth, with the club’s September evidence leading the supplied monthly winnings in both MOBA and CS.
That dominance did not erase the alternatives. FRA | Exile combined 143 championships with $2,891,300, while 404 recorded 167 podiums and the deepest playoff count among the leading three. 🇬🇧 | Akuma Team added another strong multi-roster body of work at $2,577,100. September therefore favored clubs that could sustain results across a crowded calendar, even as the showcase events kept rewarding sharper peaks.
The transfer market extended that competitive pressure into the final days. The largest CS moves arrived on September 29 and 30, while MOBA’s leading documented fee landed on September 26. Rather than closing with a settled hierarchy, the month ended with several prominent clubs investing for the next contest.
Best clubs
My first choice is PHI | Scar Reign. Its $4,345,800 in nominal winnings was more than $1.45 million clear of the next club, and its 168 championships, 181 podiums and 979 wins formed the strongest all-round September profile. Most importantly, the completed MOBA and CS articles both support the club’s presence at the front of their month-wide results, giving its lead genuine cross-game weight rather than a single-event foundation.
The order behind it is less settled. FRA | Exile has the strongest winnings alternative at $2,891,300, 404 nearly matched the leader’s podium total with 167 and reached 10 playoff stages, and 🇬🇧 | Akuma Team remained close enough in winnings to keep the comparison competitive. Should managers place PHI | Scar Reign first for its decisive cross-game accumulation, or favor 404 for pairing 167 podiums with deeper playoff reach?
Notable transfers
The clearest market signal came from invy, a $3.5 million CS move on September 30 that ranked first among $67 candidates. lukie followed at $1.51 million on September 29, giving CS two major late-month deals. MOBA’s leading documented move was brownpeacoccK1 at $1.31 million on September 26. Together, the three transfers showed leading clubs acting across both games before September had fully closed.

ESMO Club GOAT debate
Eight months of supported ESMO history strengthen my first-place case for PHI | Scar Reign, although the order remains editorial. MOBA and CS reward different schedules and price results differently, and the record still provides no common rating measure for turning them into one mechanical table. The useful test is whether a club repeatedly leads the supported field while its rosters keep producing elite results within their own games.
September gives PHI | Scar Reign the answer its August case still needed. After leading the supplied club field in July with $3.64 million, 167 championships and 960 wins, then again in August with $3,965,400, 151 championships and 860 wins, it led September on $4,345,800, 168 championships and 979 wins. This third straight aggregate-leading month also carried genuine weight in both games. Its MOBA roster, PHI | Scar Reign, led September’s supplied monthly winnings with $2,047,700 while recording 82 championships, 446 wins and two $200,000 regional victories. Its CS roster, PHI | Scar Reign, led that game’s supplied winnings at $2.30 million with 86 championships and a 533-28 record. September did not add another richest-stage CS title, but it did show that the club’s case is no longer resting on one roster or two peak events.
The strongest historical alternative remains PHI | Apathy. Its April through June run included $4,026,580 and 281 championships in May, followed by $3,731,000 and 129 championships in June, with elite evidence from both Apathy in MOBA and PHI | Apathy in CS. No other supported challenger has matched that earlier two-game peak. The record supplies no fresh result for either roster from July through September, which is not evidence of decline, but it now leaves a completed three-month run against a leader whose own three-month run has continued to rise.
AVNG | juster remains the durability alternative through AVNG | juster. That CS roster has supplied front-line evidence in every month, and September added 84 championships, 92 podiums and $1.90 million to an eight-month record that already contained the strongest decisive head-to-head evidence among the established leaders. Its limitation at club level remains the same: the supported MOBA record has not matched its CS continuity. PHI⚡️Vortex Raijin⚡️VAL offers the opposite shape through PHI⚡️Vortex Raijin⚡️VAL, whose June through August MOBA run included consecutive undefeated $300,000 victories in the richest worldwide events, but September adds no supported result and its club case is still more narrowly centered on one game.
I therefore keep PHI | Scar Reign first for three consecutive aggregate-leading months, now reinforced by current elite evidence in both MOBA and CS. The alternatives remain credible because PHI | Apathy owns the strongest earlier two-game peak and AVNG | juster owns the longest uninterrupted roster-level line. What should overturn first place in October: another two-game peak from PHI | Apathy, a largest-stage title that extends AVNG | juster’s continuity, or would only the end of PHI | Scar Reign’s aggregate-leading streak be enough?
